Last week The Business Show 2014 saw more than 25,000 people descend upon the London ExCel. The show consisted of workshops, networking events, seminars and above all, help and advice from different businesses. Executive Compass exhibited at the event, with three members of the team on hand to talk bids and tenders and our MD, Neil Capstick, delivering bid writing seminars over the two days.
The exhibition was filled with entrepreneurs, business experts and members of the public alike, and featured 350 different businesses presenting their products and services. This was our first exhibition of this size and a good opportunity for Executive Compass to showcase our leading position in the bid and tender writing market. Armed with branded cupcakes, Neil, John and Amy took to the Executive Compass stand to greet the masses and discuss how we can help others become more successful within the tendering process.
As well as keynote speakers, a number of companies gave more intimate, 45 minute long seminars within their specific fields. Neil delivered a bid writing seminar outlining why companies tend to fail PQQs and the correct strategic approach that should be applied to the tendering process in order to achieve success every time. We received excellent feedback from those attending, who ranged from start-up businesses to professionals within the bid and tender world.
The show proved a perfect opportunity to meet and chat with other businesses and individuals that Executive Compass may be able to work alongside in the future. We were able to offer our expertise and advice, as well as seeing old friends and finding out about a few business opportunities of our own. Whether it was an international software company or a freelance translator, we’ve made some great contacts at the event.
Leading on from our first-time success at The Business Show, Executive Compass is looking forward to exhibiting at the next Business Show event which is being held at Olympia in London, this November.
