As we approach the end of the year, we reflect on 2019. It has been a busy year as we have celebrated our 10th year trading, experienced record turnover and gradually expanded to meet continued demand for our bid writing services.
The team
Over the years Executive Compass has steadily grown – from founder Neil Capstick, to a few employees, to the now 20-strong team! This year we have welcomed bid writers to our graduate training scheme, introduced a new quality reviewer, hired industry-specific writers and also saw one of our Directors, Christian Rowe, take on the MD designate.
Meet our full team of bid professionals HERE to find out about their backgrounds, experience and notable successes for Executive Compass.
What’s new?
Currently Executive Compass work with around 400 clients on PQQ, SQ and tender submissions, in all industry sectors, and have experienced year-on-year growth for the past 10 years. We’ve worked on some exciting projects this year for the European borders, HS2, Crown Commercial Services, through to the Ministry for Gozo!
We’ve recently introduced Stuart, who specialises in health and social care. Most of our bid writers are generalists, naturally falling into specialisms but writing across all industry sectors. Stuart is the first bid writer to specialise in an industry sector. Having owned a care company himself and been involved in training for a number of years, he is a perfect fit for the team and has been supporting some of our larger care clients.
Training has played a big part in our year also – Mary completed her NEBOSH national certificate in construction health and safety, the team has undertaken a range of social value training, Christian is embarking on an MBA and various team members have attended conferences and workshops across the year.
And how could we forget a new addition to the office dog pack – Dobson!
What’s next?
Whilst Neil is taking a step away from the MD role in the office, he is studying for a Doctorate and working on an exciting new company – very much linked to Executive Compass and launching in the New Year. Keep an eye out for more news coming soon!
As you may have seen, Christian is stepping into the MD role, so an exciting (and busy!) year ahead awaits!
