This enables affected employees to enjoy continuity of employment keeping the same terms and conditions. TUPE 2006 entirely replaces the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 (SI 1981/1794) which have often been referred to as the TUPE regulations.
