Bid writing training in 2025
Our Training Services Manager Stephen Murray was busy delivering bespoke online and in-person bid writing training to 60 clients across the year. Training was delivered to organisations from a wide range of industries and sectors, including architects, health and social care providers, security companies, construction firms and NHS health trusts.
‘… Stephen shared practical tips and advice that I will be able to apply to practice. This will help both with the coordination and writing of bids. I feel ready for our next tender now, thank you!’
- Team Fostering
‘… It’s been fantastic to work with Executive Compass on this bespoke training. We really valued the opportunity to tailor our sessions to reflect both our ambitions and the practical application of social value at Vistry. A great step forward in embedding consistent, meaningful understanding across our teams.’
- Vistry Group
As part of our status as approved delivery partner with tendering organisation NEPO’s Supplier Partnership Programme, Stephen also delivered:
- 18 bid writing masterclass sessions to hundreds of businesses across the North East and Yorkshire, from organisations new to public sector tendering to more experienced bidders
- 24 one-to-one surgery sessions for individual organisations, allowing them to gain further insight on the tender process and how to position their business as the ideal candidate to deliver the services.
Lastly, we have also delivered and attended seminars at:
- Tees Valley Business Summit
- Stansted Airport Meet the Buyer Event
- East London Business Summit
- Manchester Airport Group Meet the Buyer Event.
Engagement at these events ensures we stay up to date with best practice and wider changes to public procurement, in line with our position as thought leaders in public procurement.
Expansion and promotions
Two new members of staff joined us during 2025, with Catherine Percival commencing as Sales & Marketing Administrator in January, and Robin Taylor joining slightly later as Bid Writer following a highly competitive recruitment drive.
Both Catherine and Robin have made immediate contributions to the success of the business, and we look forward to them being long-standing members of the team.
Equally, in recognition of their experience, diligence and consistently high quality, Matthew Long, Robert Mudd, Jack Bowman and Abby Johnston were promoted to Senior Bid Writer.
The year to come
We have no doubt 2026 will provide new challenges and opportunities for the business, and are looking forward to meeting them over the next 12 months.
What will not change is our commitment to high-quality tender consultancy, supported by our ISO 9001-certified quality management system and developed across more than 7,000 submissions.
