Domiciliary Care PQQ and Tenders

We are experts at completing PQQ and tenders across a range of care sectors including domiciliary care. Domiciliary care PQQ and tenders are similar to others in as much as they have two distinct sections, one for data and one for responses which require a narrative.

Within the generic PQQ data sections are the usual elements:
• Company details
• Financial accounts
• Business probity
• Insurances
• Health and Safety

Policies you will need as a minimum include:
Environmental, sustainability, equal opportunities and safeguarding. You may also be asked for your quality policy or it could appear in a later section. Each PQQ is different and some PQQ have a whole section on quality, others ask you to outline your quality management system but leave the detail for the tender. Most care providers do have these policies in place, but we are happy to write or update them for you.

Many domiciliary care PQQ will have a technical and competence section. The questions in this will vary but usually include past experience, planning/deployment capability, service user engagement and internal quality systems. The level of detail will vary and some of the questions will be very specific, others more generic.
All of the above items vary in content and importance, and each PQQ and tender will have different criteria for obtaining the highest mark. So, make sure you do not copy and paste, just one word of difference in the question can completely alter the context and the expected response.
It appears that the single item in a PQQ and tender that causes the most problems is the business continuity plan. Some PQQ simply ask if you have one, others ask you to outline your plan, others ask for you to supply a copy and there can be some PQQ which ask if you have one and ask for a copy. Remember, a business continuity plan is not the same as a disaster recovery plan!
A typical question may read “Please describe the systems or procedures your organisation has in place to ensure Business Continuity, particularly in the event of an incident that may remove operational capability”.
Make sure that you answer this PQQ question thoroughly and accurately. There are some industries where the business continuity plan is much more important, the care industry and all the associated sectors is one. Make sure you plan is as strong as it can be, that it is reviewed regularly and perhaps most importantly of all, that it is tested.

Tender questions vary considerably but could include;

Details of the Bidder's experience, expertise and proposals for carrying out the Services throughout the contract period;
The resources and interim cover which the Bidder would be willing to commit prior to the start of the contract and so ensure that there is no discernible break in the Services between the present providers and any new providers (should a present provider not be successful);

Details of the Bidder's information systems including proposals to provide the monitoring requirements within the Specification

The Bidder's proposals for ensuring effective quality management of the Services;

The Bidder's proposals for the number, qualification, experience, training and supervision of personnel to be engaged in relation to the performance of the Services;

An outline of the management reporting structure of the Bidder and its suitability to the performance of the Services

Details of the Bidder's organisational and management policies (including but not limited to those on recruitment, staff discipline and grievances );

Whatever the question, whatever the context and whatever the time frame, we can help you to complete your domiciliary care PQQ and tenders.
