Tender Writing Resources

Tender writing is an unusual business to be in. Even when you know that there is to be a tender issued several months in advance there is only so much you can do. Until you see the actual structure and content of the invitation to tender you are unable to formulate a clear strategy and decide on content. However, there is much we can do and we always prepare as much information as possible in advance.

Generally though, professional independent tender writing tends to be a short notice business. Clients often contact us with very little notice, weekend and evening working become second nature and it is not unusual to work through the night. Tenders and PQQ are left in the client’s in-box believing that they have the time and resource to complete the submission in house. Only when the deadline looms do they begin to panic and contact us.

As professional tender writers we know the traps and we know how easily a tender writing project can sneak up on you and leave you with no time at all. Never underestimate the time it can take just to complete even a PQQ. The supporting evidence alone can run to several hundred pages, so be warned.

The recent spate of holidays will have placed even more pressure on in house tender writing resources. Another holiday coming up, the summer holiday silly season and any absence issues can really create a strain.
If you do have an invitation to tender or PQQ and need a tender writer, we would urge you to take the tender out of the drawer sooner, rather than later. We have had a significant increase in last minute requests and so it would be wise to make initial contact as soon as you can.

Short notice and last minute PQQ and tender writing is a speciality, but we would much rather have more time to create a truly compelling and distinct document
