Writing Tenders for Construction

Writing tenders for the construction industry is always problematic. However, it is not as problematic as having no tenders to tender for!
Our Construction Tender Writing Service has not noticed a slow down but this article would suggest otherwise.

The Construction Industry Federation claims the value of public building projects is running 'substantially below' Government commitments.

The CIF carried out research based on an analysis of Government procurement notices listed on the E-Tenders website.

It found that the value of public construction projects awarded in March and April was below €60m, and that there were no projects in 28 of 35 city and council areas.

The CIF said the Government's ability to hit its own spending targets in 2011 and 2012 was now 'in serious question'.

Director general Tom Parlon said the CIF understood that the Government was considering its infrastructure priorities, but in the meantime a 'serious vacuum' had emerged.

The CIF said the most recent statistics showed that there were 130,000 people directly employed in the building industry, but this figure could fall below 100,000 by the start of 2011 if current trends continued.
