The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is highlighting how effective it can be to use a recruitment agency to hire new skilled workers.
In an event taking place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff today, the REC will aim to persuade companies to use recruitment agencies to find the most effective and suitable candidates for their organisation.
Philip Curry, the REC's external relations advisor, said that the event will be a "practical example" showing how the recruitment industry is playing an active role in getting people into skilled jobs throughout the UK.
"More than 50,000 professional jobseekers have been assisted by the programme nationwide, which shows that the private recruitment industry is playing a vital role in the fight against the recession," he said.
The comments come after data published by the REC as part of the JobsOutlook survey recently showed that 91 per cent of companies are happy with the work done by recruitment agencies.
