Now that College is over for the Summer, Stephanie joins us full time again. Stephanie is studying Criminal Psychology (some may say it is appropriate) and usually works with us part time.
We are looking to improve our services and so Stephanie will begin to issue quality monitoring forms after each project. Our
last minute PQQ and Tender Writing Services, while proving popular, often mean we neglect to collect quality and marketing information. We hope that Stephanie can address this.
As ever we have a top tip and this month it is all about formatting.
A tender is like any other written document. It should be easy to read and be logical. That means it should have a beginning, middle and an end and should look good.
• Do not use fancy font. Ariel/Times New Roman 10 or 12 is usual but there are lots to choose from (just not Lucida Handwriting)
• Keep font consistent throughout the document
• Include a table of contents
• Do not widen the margins
• Makes sure that you space the lines correctly 1.15 is usual but others work as well
• Always include a footer with page numbers
• Try not to bleed text over the ends of pages and try to start main sections at the top of the page
• Do not use too much bold
• Customise your heading to your company colours
• Use bullet points
• If you use photographs make sure they are relevant
