Help with Filling in a PQQ

We help a variety of organisations with filling in PQQ. We know just how daunting it can seem for a small company to be faced with a PQQ and a deadline. I have written a variety of blogs explain the best way to approach them but I thought that I should provide specific help with filling in a PQQ for the small business owner.

The first piece of help with filling in a PQQ I can give you is...do not panic. Unless you have left it very late you will be amazed what can be done in a short time. So, stay calm and follow my ten point plan.

1. Always read through your PQQ very carefully before completing it. There will be important information about how to present it, what font to use, how to answer etc. Once you have read it, read it again!

2. Never tell lies when completing a PQQ. You will be found out!

3. When filling in a PQQ, ask for clarification if you do not understand something. Remember though that if you ask a question both the question and the answer will be circulated to all those submitting that particular PQQ.

4. Make sure that that your PQQ is submitted in the correct format.

5. Make sure you have all your information at hand before you start to complete a PQQ. You do not want to waste time looking for important documents once you have started writing.

6. Make sure you allow yourself adequate time. Filling in a PQQ takes time, more often than not, quite a bit of time.

7. Should you submit your PQQ too late you will be expelled from the evaluation process. So, never submit a PQQ late.

8. Do not miss out any sections when filling in a PQQ.

9. Always include any policies that are needed. A widespread cause for filling in a PQQ incorrectly is neglecting to include relevant policies. Things like; H&S and sustainability policies are often forgotten about. Do not worry if you do not have any, we can write them for you when we are completing your PQQ.

10. Filling in a PQQ can sometimes feel like an uphill struggle. If there is more than one person filling in a PQQ make sure at least one of them is acting a project manager, that way there is less chance of something not getting done.
