Tender Writing Firm
Tender Writing Firms
As a tender writing company we take some unusual calls. We receive the usual: “How much for a tender?” and “how long will it take to write my tender?” Both questions are usually asked before we have seen the tender and while it is tempting to provide a flippant response we can understand why people ask.
Cost is always at the forefront of any organisations priorities and tender writing is no different. However, I would suggest that companies looking for tender writing firms take a broader and more sensible approach to having their tenders written.
Our tender writing services are competitively priced. We are not the cheapest but we are certainly not the most expensive. By adhering rigidly to a workable and stringent cost model we are able to keep our overheads well below that of our nearest quality rivals. We cannot, nor do we try, to compete against certain types of tender writer who charge very low day rates. They do this because they are not very good and cannot obtain tenders to write! Nor do we compete with companies who charge very high day rates. They do this by convincing you that because they have high charges you will be receiving a quality tender writing service. Of course that is nonsense!
Pay cheap day rates for tender writing and you will get ripped off in terms of quality. Pay expensive day rates and you will get ripped off, full stop!!
Time for tender writing is a tricky one. The client needs and deserves, a fixed price with an indication of how long it will take, they have a deadline after all. It is not always straightforward to estimate tender writing times and you should ask yourself the question ,Do you want speed or quality? Mostly, you want quality but sometimes you need a tender writer to
write a tender in double quick time because the deadline is looming and you had forgotten about it!!
Tender writing timescales will vary but usually the more notice the better. To sit down and write for the same tender day after day is possible, not ideal, but possible. It is always better if you can have a break between tenders and reflect on sections you have written.
It also depends on which industry we are writing for. If the writer is wrting a tender for an industry with which they are familiar it does not take as long as say, one which they need to research. If they do need to research it should not be reflected unduly in the price!!
Here is a real enquiry we received in the New Year
Q. Do you write poetry
A.No, we don’t
But you are a tender writer.......................
